OUR CLIENTS

CAP Partner’s alignment with regenerative thinking

CAP Partner’s approach to congress organisation reflects this regenerative mindset by acknowledging the close interdependence between professional events and their local context.

As a congress organiser based in Copenhagen, CAP Partner operates within – and benefits from – local ecosystems that include venues, suppliers, institutions and communities.

The regenerative perspective emphasises that long-term success in the meeting industry depends on contributing positively to these ecosystems and supporting their continued development.

This thinking aligns with CAP Partner’s focus on values, responsibility and authentic storytelling, where professional excellence is combined with awareness of social, cultural and environmental contexts.

By recognising the importance of place and people, CAP Partner seeks to support meeting formats that are not only professionally successful, but also meaningful for the destinations in which they are hosted.

How we work

How we work with sustainability

Sustainability is integrated into how we think, plan, and deliver. It is not limited to a single initiative or checklist. When possible, it influences decisions throughout the entire process, from early planning to onsite execution.

As a certified  Green Tourism Organisation, social and environmental responsibility are guiding principles in our work. The meetings and congress industry has a significant environmental footprint, and we recognise that responsibility. We actively work to reduce our impact while helping our clients do the same.

ACTIONS

Sustainable actions

We continuously look for ways to reduce waste and minimise environmental impact while maintaining a high-quality experience for delegates, partners and clients. Small decisions, when multiplied across large international conferences, can make a significant difference.

Reducing materials and waste
  • We prioritise digital conference programmes and significantly reduce printed materials
  • We minimise the use of plastic. E.g. we no longer use plastic holders for participant badges – they are only made of paper now.
  • We recycle paper, plastic, metal and other recyclable materials
  • We continuously adjust catering orders to minimise food waste
  • When relevant, we recommend flexible catering models rather than automatically including catering in registration fees thereby minimising food waste.
  • When possible, we encourage speakers to travel by train instead of flying
  • We support the use of public transport and cycling rather than organising conference shuttles

Whenever possible, we prioritise suppliers who can document sustainable practices and products or contribute to the local area nd communities

HOW WE WORK

Regenerative tourism in the business and meeting industry

Regenerative tourism within the meeting industry is grounded in the idea that meetings, conferences, and business events should actively contribute to the well-being of the places in which they take place. Rather than focusing solely on reducing negative impacts, a regenerative approach views the business as part of a living local ecosystem – comprising local communities, nature, culture, suppliers, and business guests.

Regenerative meeting businesses are rooted in the unique qualities of their location and seek to recognise and nurture the potential of that place through meaningful interaction with those who live and work there. When local areas thrive, they become more attractive destinations for meetings and events, creating a mutually reinforcing relationship between place and business.

“We are proud to be officially certified as a Green Tourism Organisation by Green Key International. This certification recognises our systematic efforts to organise international conferences in a more responsible and sustainable manner. It also provides a structured framework for continuous improvement.”
